You only really understand the importance of a wedding day once you have experienced it yourself. The nervousness weeks in advance, the tension on the morning of the wedding, the sweaty hands on the way to saying ‘I do.’ The endless love that flows through you on this day, being connected with all your loved ones. This day is full of magic and it fills me with so much pride and gratitude that I, of all people, might be the one who gets to capture your special moments.

the STORY

the STYLE

the METHOD

Photography has been one of the biggest parts for half of my life now.  My parents' compact camera was always by my side and I captured everything that moved me. People, nature, art, and architecture. When I received my first DSLR camera as a gift, there was no turning back and shortly after I knew I wanted to study design with this particular focus. I have been in the wedding industry for over ten years now and it's the greatest honor to have witnessed over 500 weddings already, but wedding photography in particular crossed my way in 2020. I am privileged to have been able to focus completely on capturing the most precious moments after such a short time and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Timeless. I want you to look at your wedding collection and fall in love with your pictures all over again. Not only shortly after, but also in 50 years of time. That's why I choose an editing style that is very natural, elegant and balanced. I love to keep the colors as they were, make them pop a little and bring out the beauty in every picture. I love photographs that tell a story, make you feel something, so I focus on people, on laughters, silent tears and on the big emotions. Candid, because I want to tell your story just the way it was.

I achieve to capture your wedding day in the most authentic way by treating you as a close friend. I believe that trust is one of the most important components in creating an emotional and intimate wedding collection. The more you can let yourself go with and in front of me, the more the pictures will display your true connection. One of my specialties is to be invisible. I am present, but I blend in perfectly, so that people feel comfortable. This allows me to capture the moments as they come, without being noticed. Those pictures always turn out to be my favorites: candid, emotional and full of joy.

GET TO KNOW ME

BEHIND

the LENSE

I'm Ruby & I can't wait to meet you

My name is Ruby, and perhaps you will experience one of your most significant days through my eyes. I am thirty-two years old, married the best man in the world a few years ago, and together with our little daughter Frida, our Australian Shepherd, two cats, two geese and six chickens, we are living our dream in an old farmhouse in the woods in Ennepetal.

I was born in Düsseldorf, the complete opposite of my current home of choice. Every time I go home, drive over the bridge and see the television tower, I get a tingling feeling. My hometown has its own unique magic. I studied design in Düsseldorf, and photography was not only a big part of that, but has always been a part of my life. For half of it, I have been exploring the world through my lenses, capturing moments and creating memories that will outlive us all.
